Flakes of the life of a sensate man; random notes and pictures that endeavour to capture capricious thoughts, largely of unreasonable and mysterious origin, before they leave forever the wandering mind of a life pilgrim stumbling towards the point where parallel lines meet. “Give me the sensate mind, that knows The vast extent of human woes!” M. Robinson Angelina II. 1796

Another hard day at the office
I have been here an hour or so now. I am feeling rather guilty on two counts; one is that it is the Lord's Day and I should be reflecting on my being, the other is that because the sun is blazing down outside I ought to be doing something productive in the garden or, if not that, at least wandering about somewhere on this beautiful morning. The fine weather must, sooner now rather than later surely come to an end.

Looks like a lovely place to sit and relax.
Can I have your Twix? I've just made coffee and I need something sweet to eat?
No Calum, it's mine! I do not share anything with anyone but you are welcome to charge one to my account at the periptero across the square. Anyway, s'mine has long been eaten. I'm presently lunching on a toasted ham, cheese and tomato sandwich, flavour enhanced by the delicate hands of the Romanian barmaid who made it, and a 'Premium Quality' (That at least is what is printed on the label) Hellenic Beer.
Wow John, you certainly have major problems to deal with...
Very true Keith. It is not easy for a man of a certain age to live with avarice, gluttony, lechery and a more than healthy attraction to alcohol - not to mention sloth!
